Child Care Benefit
Child Care Benefit (CCB) is a payment made to families to assist with the costs of childcare.
The Family Assistance Office (FAO)
- uses income details to determine CCB rebates
- calculates CCB on eligible hours
- pays the family their lump sum amount at the end of the financial year.
To be eligible for CCB one or both parents or guardians must
- meet Australian residency requirements
- have a child attending care in an Australian Government approved child care service and be liable to pay for this care, and
- comply with immunisation requirements
To have CCB applied to Child Care fees, parents must advise their local Centrelink office that their child will be attending Lighthouse Child Care Centre and quote the Centre's Provider Number which is 555 006 411K.
