Our Philosophy

If children are to grow up as competent, confident individuals, healthy in mind, body and spirit, and secure in their sense of belonging, we believe it is essential for high quality foundations to be established during their Early Childhood.

We believe each Child:

  • is unique and progresses at their own pace.
  • benefits from an emphasis on aesthetics and creativity within the Centre.
  • is already full of skills and knowledge.
  • Is competent at providing input into the program.

We believe the Program should:

  • incorporate an Anti-Bias approach where diversity is encouraged and acceptance promoted.
  • emphasise discovery based learning through self selected activities.
  • provide consistent opportunities for purposeful play which fosters self-esteem, imagination, curiosity and experimentation.
  • allow time for children to consolidate their skills, meet challenges and achieve goals.

We believe Centre Parents:

  • are viewed as active parents in our program.
  • are experts on their own child.
  • benefit from positive relationships and the opportunity to have their ideas heard.

We believe Staff:

  • value the opportunity to engage in a co-operative, team approach.
  • are to be valued and supported.
  • require consistent opportunities for professional contribution.

We believe the Community:

  • is a valuable resource in helping to enrich our Programme
  • provides an important link between families and the Centre.

Your Childs Wellbeing is our goal
